Intentional teaching means carefully planning the activities and experiences made available to children in early care and education settings. This course explores theories of classroom organization and what it means to manage a classroom including key elements help to build success. Strategies for developing routines to help a classroom function smoothly as well as encourage independence and enhance learning are discussed. Finally, investigate the importance of child assessment and how to utilize the information gathered. From this information, develop skills for writing purposeful lesson plans that come to life in the classroom.
