Providing the highest quality services to children and families requires educators to meet professional and ethical standards of conduct. This course describes the characteristics of a professional in the early care and education field and examines the difference between ethical guidelines and personal values. The benefits of teachers using reflection practices for professional growth are defined and their professional role as a collaborative partner and an advocate for early care and education is also discussed. Funding for this 4-hour training was provided by the Workforce Solutions as part of their Early Care and Education Quality Improvement initiative.
