This online course provides a basic overview and understanding of infection control measures that you can take in child care settings to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
You will learn what key regulatory agencies, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Texas Health and Human Services, and Texas Workforce Commission, report as special considerations for infection control during COVID-19.
Information presented in this course will help you and other child care staff develop and implement a plan for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses through everyday, preventative actions called non-pharmaceutical interventions or NPIs, which are considered of utmost importance for child care programs that remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Emphasis will be placed on three key types of NPIs, which include personal, environmental, and community.
